Problems with recycling plastic bags:

The recyling program is not as effecient nor is it a program that is widely known for plastic bags. We only see the typical recyling bin, but we do not know what happens to the materials that are recycled.

One simple case that plastic bags are not commonly recycled is because one ton of plastic bags costs around $4,000 to recycle.
There are cities and states that does not use bags, but they number few at the moment. 

States such as:

• Hawaii

• California

Are the only two states to ban them.​
